Our Network

We are a business partner at HCL Software, which took over the Notes/Domino products (and quite a few more) from IBM in 2019.

Our immediate experience is that it has been a great gain for the products as there is now a full focus on further development - and not just "minimum maintenance" as many have probably experienced in recent years....

John Dalsgaard has been elected as "HCL Ambassador" in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

It is a great recognition for commitment and sharing of knowledge within the technologies around Notes & Domino. There are barely 100 in total worldwide and less than a handful in Denmark who have achieved this status.

And what can an HCL Ambassador do? Well, it's really a matter of dedication. All the ambassadors have proven that. The next thing is that this group forms a very competent and committed group in which they can use each other. This gives John the opportunity to ask virtually any question in this group and get help in solving specific problems - and it also provides a good and close dialogue with the people within HCL who manage all stages of the launch of products, and thus a good opportunity to get talk to them and possibly change/add functions to the products.

Notesnet.dk is a professional network for specialists within the HCL Notes and Domino products. Today there are approximately 25 members of the network and this makes it the largest concentration of specialists in this field in Denmark.

Notesnet.dk was founded in 2001, and Dalsgaard Data A/S has been a member since 2002. John Dalsgaard has also been chairman of the association's board in the period 2005-2012.

The purpose of the network is to help the members develop their skills, among other things, through ongoing exchange of experiences. This takes place in the form of meetings approx. every month, ongoing use of forums, as well as frequent contact via instant messaging, phone and email. This is also a valuable tool for each individual consultant, as this gives each of us a "lifeline" that we can use in the event that we "get stuck" in a problem. This way all of our customers actually get a lot of benefit from our membership of notesnet.dk.

John is a member of the Gørlev-Høng Rotary club as another way into the local business community.

At the same time, Rotary has some really good messages in the form of supporting many good causes and an important exchange programme.

Rotary also provides a good starting point for creating new networks nationally and internationally, and there is always a local Rotary club somewhere in the world that you can contact and connect with!
